Step 2 - Convert your files to
Or choose a different format
A RAM file has a full name of a RealAudio Metadata file and was developed by RealNetwork. The RAM file is interlinked with a RA file which was also developed by RealNetwork and is an audio player that was popular in the mid 90s. The RA file played audio at the same as it was being downloaded and the RAM file is a small text file that contained a link to that audio stream so that when a user clicked on it would open the audio file in their default player. RAM files, like RA files, have typically been replaced by more popular file formats and tend not to be used any more. A RealNetworks RealPlayer can open RAM files as can the VLC Media Player.
